Our Story
Welcome to Epik Weddings and Events, a premier wedding entertainment and photography company based in the breathtaking Reno and Lake Tahoe area. Our story begins with Erik, a dynamic individual whose love for music ignited a spark that would eventually transform into something truly extraordinary.
While studying in college, Erik’s passion for DJing took flight. He quickly became known for his infectious energy and ability to create unforgettable experiences on the dance floor. As the demand for his talent grew, he realized the immense potential to offer more than just music. In 2017, alongside his wife Frances, they decided to expand their horizons and introduce additional services to Epik Weddings and Events.
Recognizing the significance of capturing precious moments, Erik made a fortuitous decision to bring in his best friend Aaron. Aaron’s innate ability to perceive the beauty and emotion in every scene was undeniable. With his exceptional eye for detail, Aaron seamlessly joined the team, adding a new dimension to Epik Weddings through photography and videography services.
Since that pivotal moment, Epik Weddings and Events has flourished. Aaron was laid back, fun and had a go with the flow attitude all day. He listened to what we wanted and that is exactly what he gave us. He got my non picture taking husband to have fun while taking photos! He sent over a sneak peak just a two days after the wedding and they are beautiful!

There is a reason this company is called Epik! The photo booth setup was so rad and exceeded my expectations. Frances was incredibly sweet and helpful with everyone who visited the photo booth, paying close attention to detail to make sure everything was easy for the guest to access. Dwight was super easy going to talk to and attentive. He was very detailed. At the event I was surprised at how tall and good-looking Dwight was in person. He looked very sharp! Well dressed! He keep us on schedule and keep the night flowing. Dwight was thoughtful in keeping us up to date about each detail and then next items coming up. He really read the room and the people and keep the night popping! We didn’t have to thinking of anything but just having a good time. My husband and I were on the dance floor the entire evening dancing it out. Thanks Epik for making our event AWESOME and seamless!
Steve the DJ was great – he really knew how to get people on the dance floor. People still talk about the playlist. I also loved how responsive Epik Weddings was… before the wedding, day of the wedding, and after.
Erik, Frances, and their team were fantastic! They were our wedding DJ, Photo Booth and second dj for our ceremony venue. Everything went perfect and smooth, and our guests thoroughly enjoyed the photo booth.
We love Aaron’s style. We loved that not only does he have the talent to get some stunningly artistic photos, but he has a way of getting just the right moment to convey those emotions in his candid photos. Not only did his photos turn out AMAZING, but he helped make every request we had happen (and I had an extensive Pinterest board). From making sure we followed our wishes, stayed on time, and also maximized our venue, Aaron and his 2nd shooter did an absolutely amazing job.
