We’ve had a lot of time to work on our business in the last couple of months. COVID-19 really allowed us to look back at what we’ve done in the past and plan for what we’d like to accomplish in the future. Thinking back on the past a little bit, one of the accomplishments we are very proud of is being named Best DJ and Best Photography by the Reno News and Review Magazine in their 2019 edition of Best of Northern Nevada.
We knew we wanted to be named one of the Best of Northern Nevada for years. It wasn’t until 2018 that we really focused on turning this dream into a reality. That year, Epik Weddings & Events placed 2nd for Best DJ. While it was exciting to be recognized, this unsatiated feeling was still.
Once we found out 2019 Best of Northern Nevada nominations were coming soon, we knew we had to win it. With 2018 being a very busy year for us, we had more happy clients that were ready to help us win the title of Best DJ and Best Photography. Everyone on our team reached out to all their family and friends, asking them to vote for Epik. We created marketing videos on social media on how to vote for us and spread them all over our social media. So much of our time was spent getting the word out to our community to vote for us.
After waiting for what felt like forever, Reno News & Review Magazine finally released its 2019 edition of Best of Northern Nevada. Epik Weddings & Events was listed as number one for both Best DJ and Best Photography in Northern Nevada! We screamed we jumped, we celebrated. This was the recognition we had been hoping for. With every wedding and event our team performs at, there’s always something we learn that we can implement in future celebrations. This award symbolizes the years of hard work we’ve put into helping couples live their love story.
Being named Best DJ and Best Photographer in Northern Nevada was definitely a highlight of 2019. Our friends at Crossover Communications helped us land a local news segment where we could share our Epik story with the community. To see our excitement about the award, check out the video below.
